Today's Blooms
Hope ya'll enjoyed the pics!
Is that it? 8^P
LOL! JK!!
Very nice Brad
Im so glad you didnt stir anymore interest in this post about 'the other rainbow' SHHHHH!!
Congrats on the adenium grafts!!
2 of mine took as well!!
1 is arrogant and the other is Noble concubine!! WOOT!!
I pruned them all pre spring as my book says theyll throw flowers first then leaves if you do this.
We shall see.
Next ill add another variety to each one.
Thanks for stirring my interest into adeniums Brad, they are terrific.
Defenitly one of the most interesting plants I have.
A most satisfying plant to watch as it throws flush after flush of blooms.
The varieties are terrific too.
Marvelous, Brad! Don't ever apologize for posting awesome pictures like those. Pictures like those are the reason that some of us come here every day! They are fabulous! Man, those adeniums are so cute. I am content to have the 30 or so that I do right now, but I could see how one could easily collect them and have hundreds of them. They are almost as perfect a plant to grow as plumerias are.
That Gloria de Los Angeles is fabulous with that orange center, and I am so happy that I got a Gold Coast Peach from you last year as I hear that has an awesome fragrance. You didn't tell us, though, about the fragrance of each one! Isn't that a rule here? LOL! Mango Magic is one that I don't have, but I may have to get it sometime in the future if it has a lovely fragrance.
Hey, Brad, is your website up and running yet? Can we announce its arrival yet? Do you have growing information on it? If so, we can add it to the sticky.
What 'other rainbow'? LOL! I agree with you about adeniums, Michael. I like them too.
Oh--good Lord, Clare--LOL! I will go nuts trying to do that but I will tell you that MM is sweet, floral with some spiciness. GdlA smells a lot like India--spicysweet--the rest are all mild sweet variations of the "frangipani" scent, except GCP which is absolutely addicting! I cannot resist smelling it when I pass by, Small flowers but HUGE scent. Love the orange centers as well.
Yep--the site's up. Thanks for asking.
Brad
Here's a single six-petaled Forma Lutea---the scent is very mich like Celdaine but the flowers are large and petals curl. Also, the leaves do not have the prominent double veining like a Celadine. The person I got this one year old plant from said the flowers can get over 5 inches! This one was just over 4 inches.
oooOOOOoooo sttoooooopp iiiitttt!!!
heehee hohooo
theyre coming to take me away hee hee theyre coming to take me away haha heehee hoho where the sky is blue and plumies bloom all day heehee.......
Love it man!!
Great stuff!!
Awesome pics, Brad, and thanks for the fragrance description. You'd be surprised how I am driven by fragrance more than I am by flower appearance. Someone here at this forum is interested in plumerias with a spicy fragrance. I'll have to go check on whom that was. Nery, maybe? Anyway, your pics are gorgeous. Please post more when you can this summer as they bloom. They are a welcomed sight. That forma lutea is gorgeous with its six petals. I'm going to send you an email about that one as Luc said something interesting not too long ago, but I've got to run so I'll email you tomorrow.
Hey, Everyone! Check out Brad's web site! It's awesome! Here's a link: http://www.bradsbudsandblooms.com/
Edited to fix spelling:-)

Brad, how big are the forma lutea flowers? I just sent you an email about it that was an interesting discussion on Pals about forma lutea.
Clare,
They are between 4-5 inches. I already heard the debate on Pals---but I am calling it that for a while until Lyndi in Singapore comes up with something else. That way everyone will know what is being referred to. The other alternative is to keep saying to people, "Yeh, that one that is from Singapore that isn't really forma lutea but is being called that." Reminds me of "The artist formerly known as Prince".......remember that (oops, I am now showing my age. LOL) Oh--the headaches. I wish someone would officialy name it but as it is strongly identified with Lyndi, I think she might be the one to do it. I do suspect it is somehow related to Celadine because of flower and fragrance similarities, but, the flowers are much bigger and the leaves do not have that pronounced double vein, nor are they the same shade of green with that glossy look like Celadine. Here she is again today---two newly opened flowers.
