This new H. pottsii is about to burst forth...17 umbels forming. This is a first time for this plant and I am going to miss it! (Pouting and stomping her little feet).
What I am going to miss.....
Wow...that's wonderful. Which one of the pottsii is that one?
Marcy
Well, gee whiz, Carol. You could just pack it in your suitcase and bring it to me. I'll take care of it while you travel around Oregon and Washington. I'd mail it back to you when you return to Hawaii, but I suppose we can't send plants to Hawaii. So, I'd just have to keep it until you come for another visit, which is certainly no problem for me.
Just trying to be a good hoya citizen - there is absolutely no ulterior motive here - really. ;-)
Snickering & waiting for your arrival.
Ann
Oh dear Marcy...Im not going into the GH for a couple of weeks. But...me thinks it is the H. pottsii from Vietnam...a new one I got from DL two years ago. Despite unpopular opinions expressed elsewhere...I love H. pottsii! They are varied, prolific, bloom easily and one of my faves BECAUSE it is so common (somewhere...not anywhere I frequent). They grow like gangbusters, tolerate almost anything, turn wonderful colors (leaves).
I am a H. pottsii lover and that is my story!
Carol
I love them too. However, I have had several of them for 3 years..and alas...no blooms yet. :-(
Like you say, however, they are beautiful even without the flowers. :-)
Another one I have had for a long time & no blooms is Cinnamomifloia (sp).
What is up with that one? It also has great leaves though.
Marcy
Carol sending wishes for wonderful trip!
p.s.when will you be back in Hawaii??? (Your money order was mailed on Monday so it should arrive just before you get home again).
