This is sooo beautiful. I wonder if it is the same shrub as Hakuro Nishiki. The names have me pretty confused.

I have several of these in my yard, and I love them. Ya know, several years ago I EASILY propagated pieces of this shrub in potting soil keep wet. No problem. Then, last year, I couldn't get a single piece to root and this year I am having the same problem. Any ideas?

because this is a willow, does it have the natural rooting hormones that other willows have???

Oops, really sorry. I didn't realize there was a reply here.

All Salix produce salicylic acid so my guess is that even the above cultivar should be easily propagated.

When do you prune this willow? Is it in sun or shade?
