I thought I had seen it all..

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Found a large plant of this hibiscus today on a plant shopping trip.Has 2 inch wide flowers. I HAVE NEVER seen such a tiny flowered tropical hibiscus before or even heard of one.Has a bunch of buds on the plant so will see if they stay small or just a fluke.they had several and each had the tiny flowers.

Kyle, then you would love a pretty little variety called "Waimea Beauty".
The picture isn't mine so that's not my hand.
Nevertheless, in Spain (I'm spanish) most hibiscus that grow as street shrubs (not feeded, nor pruned, not well watered) shown those blooms in the first weeks of Spring.

Carlos, nice variety, I'll keep an eye on this new one to see if it stays small or gets bigger with better care. :-)

Oh my .. I'm a sucker for miniatures! Let us know if it stays small! .. I'd like some seeds if it does.

Dang, I knew that witness protection program wouldn't work.. LOL

UPDATE!!! heres what this little flowered gem turned into after getting proper care, has deep red 3 1/2 to 4 inch wide little flowers. Wish it would have stayed smaller. The process of shipping from Florida usually makes flowers dull and less colorful till they re-aclimate.
