Thunbergia mysorensis

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

A Canadian living in the States is coming up to Canada early this summer........soooooooooo I'm desperately asking if someone has a rooted T. mysorensis available.

Please dmail me if you have one available!!!!!!

Will trade first born or offer something (ie: $ for plant and shipping) in return (I know money isn't usually acceptable but it's the only way I can get something down to you in time).

Sorry I wish I did..how pretty!
I have a purple thumbergia that looks like morning glories though..if you want some of that

Guilford, CT(Zone 7a)

I have a small one that I bought from Logee's last Fall, but I have had no luck trying to root a cutting. It is an agressive grower, but not easy to root. Perhaps once it goes outdoors I will have better luck rooting a cutting - I will let you know if I do succeed!

Chris thank you so much for your offer :) ........ but I think I might have that one tho (if it's either Thunbergia battiscombei or grandiflora).

Julie I once had some cuttings......all rooted but only one grew (I think some were cut too short, without a node above) but then it too gave up the ghost (I think I babied it too much) . I had rooted all of them in a Coke bottle. I dropped them into a couple of the larger bottles, the water was about two inches up, and I covered the lower portion with tin foil and put it in front of a sunny window.

Ok Lily :) Good luck with your search..it sure is pretty. I wonder if it would grow this far south?

If I can get a piece large enough, I will go ahead & try to root one again. Logee's is your alternative - they had fair sized plants, but it grew VERY fast once I brought it home.

Thanks Chris :)..........BTW it should do very, very well for you! (for me it is a houseplant 9 months of the year).

I doubt yours would root quickly enough for me (the DG member will be here in mid June) but it certainly would be a good trading plant for you.

I will give it a shot - maybe I will get lucky this time :)

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Chris, it should grow very well for you in 9b. I am in 8b and keep mine on my porch in a hanging pot. I did bring it in a couple of nights. It stayed green all year and is now putting out lots of new leaves and growing like crazy.
