Are tomatillos like tomatoes during transplanting: plant them to the first set of leaves? or like peppers, where you don't plant them deeper than the depth they were grown?

mosc...they're not particular either way. They will handle transplanting very easily (they're very "forgive-able"!). You should have no trouble at all with them!
