My little dog "Doodle" was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia yesterday. She is 5 years old and has been seen by 4 different Vets in her life. No one has ever noticed a problem. The Doctor that I talked with yesterday doesn't give her much hope. Has anyone had luck with any type treatment, other than aspirin? This Doctor is one of the best in town. I just can't believe that she can so quickly go from normal acting to this bad.
In all of my reading last night and this morning I can now see LITTLE signs that she had a problem. She likes to sleep under a blanket, she would rather be on the sofa than go play in the yard. But nothing more. Never a limp until Wed. night when she jumped to chase the cat and dislocated BOTH hind legs.
There is a good Orthopedic Vet in town, I can't talk with him until Monday. I am trying to learn all I can before I talk to him.
