I finally put my little brug cutting into the ground a few weeks back.....It is my first and only brug and I brought it through the winter in the house. It looks healthy but I dont know if it is Taking off like I thought it would when I put it in the ground.
What should I fertalize it with? I dont have anything fancy from some of the online nurseries but I can easily go to Lowes or Walmart to pick up something.
Thanks!
What do I feed it?
I feed with Peters 20-20-20 of course I add some other ingredients. Like ES, fish emollients, sea weed, and cal-mag plus. But I am sure the extras I add isn't always needed, but they like it so they get it.
The experts will pop in pretty soon and fill you in correctly. This is only my second year growing Brugs.

This is one plant which grows leaps and bounds, so make sure it gets enough nitrogen.
One (easy) method to fertilize is to use 14-14-14 Oscmocote and re-apply every 60 days or so. I do this, and water occationally with 20-20-20 Peters of 15-30-15 Miracle Grow.
I think any balanced (or closely resembling) fertilizer should work.
Examples: Peters 20-20-20, Miracle Grow 15-30-15 (powders dissolved in water)
All purpose 10-10-10 (pellets)
Osmocote (Multicote, Nutricote, etc) 14-14-14 (or 14-14-16) slow release pellets
To make it "take-off", transplant it into a larger pot and fertilize regularily.
Just the transplanting alone can make it take off in a few days.
