Allison sent me a box of treasures today - I was so excited I was practically jumping up and down when I saw her name on the box -
the lady who delivers for the post office always likes to stop and have a chat, and today I was itching to get indoors and open my wonderful box, and it seemed like she talked and
talked and
TALKED and all the time, that box was in my hands whispering "Cherrrryyyllll, open me! I contain beautiful gifts from Allllison! Open me nooowww!!
When I finally got indoors and could open my magic box, I was so excited I was practically cross-eyed. And then when I got to the plant in the little pot, and unwrapped her to see a BUD, I must have let out a squeal of delight, because my little dog poked his head in through the dog door to see what was happening in the kitchen that would make me make that noise!!
Thankyou thankyou Allison, you are a sweetie to send me such a lovingly prepared and carefully chosen box of treasures - I'm going to have so much fun playing with my new leaves and plant!
Hugs, Cheryl
Christmas in May!!
Oh my goodness so happy they got there ! Is everything OK from their long trip ! If leaves need you can soak stems in water. Some people put sugar in the water I never had.
If they arrived good then I want to try again soon :))
Happy you like your little box you said don't over do it so I just sent the one plant you wanted and few leaves !
Hugs, Allison
Allison's boxes are wonderful!
Oh my goodness though you should see the two trade packages Cheryl sent to me :)) The one I sent her was tiny one plant and five sets of leaves. She told me not to over do it. Now they made it safe I will sneak her a few more special babies !
You get a grip, there, girl, and don't be getting carried away! (who needs furniture, eh? Put up another plant shelf instead!!)
I've just been googling pictures of the leaves you so generously sent me, and fainting - they are all so GORGEOUS!!
One I can't find a picture of, and not sure if I'm mis-reading your handwriting - (which, I'd like to point out, is still a hundred times clearer than my awful scribble) looks like "Yam Selena" - is that right?
Happily playing with leaves and pots,
Cheryl
It's Russian When I bought it and in Russian sight they spell it Yan-Selena..now FC and Bluebirds spell it Ian-Selena . I've been told both are correct.
English name " Moon Goddess "
Ian-Selena (9556) 01/17/2006 (N. Puminova) Single-semidouble white ruffled star. Light green, ovate, quilted. Standard
FC picture sense I cant find mine.
Oh my goodness, that is so beautiful - I've been wanting a nice white one, you darling you!!
Glad your not disapointed in White. But it's Russian ! Their plants grow real nice like old fashion Av's and nice bloomers !
Who could be disappointed in white - all that lovely frilly lacy look - I just love it, and white intensifies all the other colours, don't you think?
Before I forget to say it again, like I already have so far 3 times, thank you so much for sending me some fantasy flowers! And the ones with the variegated leaves! They're all just perfect, and I'm so grateful.
I'm going to be hovering over those leaves like a crazy woman, looking for ears to pop up!
Oh I'm glad you like fantasy and variegated ! I love white flowers ! And during the Holidays I enjoy having lots of white and red plants blooming !
OH PS I'd love to send you more ! Your sent me so much.
