I put down several leaves and gave her to a friends mom for mothers day :)

Lorry, that was very sweet ! You are sweet ! When my Mom or Aunt come and they say oh so pretty I always say would you like ! I let anyone take hpme any plants they like ! Someone says pretty they can have it ! My Mom says who is blooming to day :)) I given them to her friends and neightbors too. Most all people over 75 and 80's makes their days Sunny :))
I was thinking the other day what if Mom says she wants Annablee. She saw her last time. I would give her Annabelle ! But I would not buy anymore. I can not care for.
LOL..I do that too :) I just put down leaves and send them to new homes often :)

you folks would have loved my mom....she was much the way you are...she was very creative...a great gardener and always crocheting something...whenever people came over and said how much they liked things....she always gave them to them...She, like you folks , knew that to share is life's biggest joy....Sounds like a good Mother's Day recipe to me!!

I am always reluctant to tell my mom that I like something because 9 times out of 10 she will then tell me to take it- I am never sure if she wants to part w/ it since sometimes she most wants to make me happy.
I do the same w/ my oldest, always offering her those things she likes.
I do like giving things to that older set, especially those older ladies. Most of them have had some AV on a kitchen window sill, like my grandma did and I think it makes them think of happy times.
Yes I like doing this also April ! two Christmas ago when I was able my Mom always on Holidays , special days would treat us at one of our favorite restaurants. I knew three of her single friends each elderly their husbands had passed away. I picked three of my largest best shaped blooming plants and newly potted them and wicked and each on went into a festive mug and packaged accordingly for the Holiday season. I remember one was Ness' Blueberry Puff, one was Mac's Scarlet O'Hara, and the other was a full bushy trailer in full bloom forget the name. . It was very easy for them to pick the plant they wanted. First and fast one lady took Ness' Blueberry Puff. :)) Now don't forget the plants were show case stunning packed with flowers and buds. They were all three excited and so please with their gifts that would give them joy all year long ! I did not bring Mom one she can get some anytime she wants :))
One thing nice about growing African violets you always have a nice gift for a Peep !
