Outdoor rooms

As a noobie just starting to contemplate what I'd like to do in my half acre, I am intrigued by the idea of "garden rooms". I'd love to see pictures and descriptions of how you transformed your outdoors into cozy enclosed spaces (or airy enclosed spaces, or whatever :) ). I live in the hills of WV and was wondering if it is possible to have functional "rooms" even if one's climate is humid, rainy, and/or covered in snow for part of the year (although I certainly want to see warm weather rooms too!).
