I just got in the parks catalog and on page 26 it has a pic of a "blue bird hibiscus" that is suppose to be tough and heat tolerant (right up my alley).
Just checking to see if anyone would have a rooted cutting or something of this instead of me paying shipping and the price of the plant that they are asking. Let me know I can pay shipping or try to work out a trade of some sort (although I am newish and dont have alot to trade still).
WANTED: Blue bird Hibiscus-Hibiscus syriacus
All I can say is that 2 years ago I bought that one from Parks. It came as a 4 inch stick. This year it is about 10 inchs tall but it bloomed. It is pretty but not at all worth the price I paid for it. I should have done my homework back then. I would have realized it was an Althea.

Ruth! Yea I thought their price was rather high...but it seems to be on most of their things. I got myself a double althea from Lowes last year but it is a pink variety. I really like this blue flower.....My Rose of Sharon this year is atleast twice the sieze when I got it and I only paid $12 with no shipping....maybe I will luck out and find a blue bird one from them this year......
Thanks for setting my mind at ease....I might have just went ahead and bought it from them
i got one on ebay good size .for about 10 bucks
