Staking glads and dahlias

Painesville, OH(Zone 5b)

What is the best way to stake them inconspicuously? They will be planted in an island bed that is only about 10' from the street. I bought green bamboo, but how can I postion them best so that the flowers cover them? TIA, Tamara

I too am growing dahlias and glads for the first time this year and am exploring my options for staking.

I saw this link mentioned for dahlias:

Old House Gardens who I ordered from has this advice on their web site for staking dahlias:

For glads, I bought some green loop type stakes from a discount store near me. They are similar to these pictured on Gardener's Supply:

Gardeners Supply has many staking systems on their web site to give you ideas:

Thanks for the info! :-) Tamara
