Sago Palm, how to propagate?

My neighbor just de-pupped his sago palm. Can the pups be propagated, if so, what's the method? Can some one give me some guidance please?

This is an excellent site (IMO) on propagating sagos. I "de-pupped" one of mine, and out of 34 pups of all sizes, 27 plants survived and are happily growing in the garden.
