With all my respect, i will like to correct your entry , because that plant
is Aechmea Blue Tango. I am including an image of the one I own.
Also PORTEA is a genus so it can not be an AECHMEA.
I will send a pic of the Portea Petropolitana in my next

I do not take you wrong at all and I thank you for finding this and letting me know. Having very little knowledge about these lovely plants, I meerly went by the tag. This plant is massive and I had to struggle to get it into the truck. I paid what I consider to be a hefty price for it (45 bucks) but I had to have it. It has several babies growing around it too. So, what I have is Aechmea Blue Tango. I guess I got a pretty good deal then. Looking around, it appears that people have been paying quite a bit for this plant, maybe because it is so huge?
