I saw a commercial for this stuff last night, had never seen it before . Have any of you tried it with your AV's and relatives?

Miracle Grow Moisture control?
Don't know. Never seen it before. I am such a worrier. I tend to stick to something if it works. Each time I try something new, I loose a plant or two. Think I am just going to stay set in my ways.
That makes sense Nanna! Thanks :)
Janis
janis i love it but haven't tried it on my a.v's leaves. i like it for annuals and hanging baskets as it keeps them from drying as quick and wilting. i have my spider plants in it and some impatients in a planter box. it is doing great!!!
kelly
here are impatients growing in miracle gro moisture control. i just planted these 2 weeks ago. i can't wait to see them when they grow and fill in! i was so proud of this planter as my hubby made it. he has never made anything so i was very shocked. with kids this stuff is great as i don't have to water as much lol.
kelly
Kelly, love the planter and the plants are great!!!
Thanks
Janis
Kelly love your planter and plants ! Can't wait to see it all full.
I known many people that used moisture control and liked it. I 've used it before long time ago I fount no difference. It is in my mix not so far I see no difference. I see no harm in trying it . If your not sure about trying something try it on a few NOID's ( NO Name) plants to test it. Your plants will let you know.
Like Nanna if something is good and working good for you don't change it. If it's not broken don't break it.
Now if there is something different that you feel will really make a difference make things easier for you , or grow better then to me it's worth a try.
I have fount sticking to the basics is best for me !
Thanks Allison :)
I will see the price, if its more taen I'm not gonna mess with it :)
Janis
I go by price a lot :)) To be honest any I've ever used mixed with perlite, vermiculite if you like it .. have a worked the same for me !
I am very happy with this new kind I am trying the texture feels good, I like that it has bug killer in it for up to 4 months, along with isolation the best I can do in a small one bedroom single wide trailer maybe this will help a little with new plants coming in. I am hoping.
It has moisture control in it too. Hubby mixed it with about 50 percent perlite and I am enjoying working with it !It's good to experiment to find whats best for you and your plats and they will tell you.
You are using that Bayer stuff right? I'll check it out if they have it at WalMart tonight.
Thanks for the tips!!
Hugs,
Janis
WOW Eunice beautiful plants ! Love those flowers ! Thanks for sharing them.
Hunny got me mine all the either at HD or Lowes. both the MG and Bayer .
thanks,
the wagon is the one im proud of ,hubby made it
Oh the red wagon full is beautiful too ! My husband says it awesome, beautiful ! Did your husband make the wafon ?
Violet_Treasure
yes,he found a old frame that was rusted out and use the tires and the pully handle.he loves to work with wood. wishes he had a job doing that instead of building boats
Oh it's wonderful ! And my hubby would love a boat and loves fishing !
Well, I made up my mind quick about trying this stuff! I went to WalMart last night, and priced it, a 10 quart bag of the Moisture control was $9.23, and the regular Miracle grow potting soil was $3.50 for a 10 quart bag! OMG do they put gold in it???
Talked to mornin_gayle last night, some of you probably know her, she said she had some and all it has in it are the polymer water retention crystals. You can buy cheap diapers at the dollar store and tear them open for the same stuff, and alot cheaper.
Needless to say, won't be trying this anytime soon! Thanks for all the input all :)
Janis
WOW that is a big difference in cost.
