I've been trying to find more information and more information on growing this plant but hard to find anything.
It does look like this plant but the flowers are not red.

Also I fount out :
Hummingbirds find Nematanthus irresistible.
If I get a nice rooted plant I will share one with the hummingbirds !

I just stuck them in some soil :) But I may have gottne lucky and I have not tried to root up many of them :)

They can be grown quite well in the shade here Allison :) and have bell flowers :) So hummingbirds would LOVE them :)

It is Champagne jam...nematanthusnut found that much out for me but have not been able to find out too much more info on her I am afraid

Well I know the flowers are not red as mine came with blooms. I read if you want it to flower it needs a lot of light. That ons picture it had over 50 flowers. The flowers on this was was really cool and I'd sure like to have a lot. I know the foliage is great but I'm shooting for flowers. Mine had a lot of buds but most dropped off getting out of package and bathing but I am happy I got to see the flower !

I will see what I can do :) Mine has some blooms but they aren't open yet.
He is happily hanging in my Florida room.
The lady I bought it from says they like shade :) So I would not overdo the light :) or at least keep tabs on him and see how it likes it.
I don't have any of my nematanthus under lights and they all bloom for me :)

Well in Florida I don't think any plant likes hot direct sun. But I've been study in old books and for best flowering says they need light ?
My flower was so exotic :))
The flower was about 2-3 inches long. looking in my Gesneriads journal chart of Pouch type/Cylindric. Amazing how the buds open to these stunning flowers and I am hoping the many buds on it will be happy in it' enviroment to open ! It was a pretty peachy orange and I think a yellow inside the pouch. I wish I had examined it more open. They hang down on a string . So cool
