EE Question

Key West, FL(Zone 11)

Im a little confused by my plants as usual and I have been finding these little guys growing amongst my potted pentas and figured that some how they were babies of my Alocasia macrorrhiza variegata that ive been regrowing from a huge 4ft plant
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/592280/

but as i've checked into it seems that these are different , they have a much softer texture ( not as rubbery) as the one im regrowing.

im not sure where these have come from but I love variegated plants and have started a collection of them .

If these pictures are of Alocasia macrorrhiza variegata (or am i wrong) how big will they get

Then is this one http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/592280/ Alocasia macrorrhiza albo variegata

And does the Albo make the difference in texture and size

Aloha Hoya , I was hoping they were Mickey Mouses but they have the wrong shaped ears.

Thank you everybody, for always being so helpfull.

Not as much variegation on this one , can a plant survive if the leaves have too much white in the variegation and not enough green?

Celt...I find that my variegated aroids (alocasias, philos, etc.) have their own patterns of variegation based on light/lack of it, growing up a tree/scooting along the ground, amt. of fert/lack of it....I just consider it a personal thing about the plant. As for all white leaves....they do tend to sap the energy from the plant as they are not producing any green stuff for the whole plant. I cut mine off.

celt....Aloha is correct, each one is a little different, and those look just like my new pups...Total white, although is really cool to see, doesn't provide much for the plant, so I cut it off and use it in my floral arrangements, where it serves a purpose.
