Good evening!
Can anyone tell me what to do with these Red Hibiscus I started from seed? I thought they were an indoor plant but I don't think so...they are getting way too big...about a foot or so.
Thanks for any help,
Joanne
Red Hibiscus
I started some from seed last winter and they grew really fast. I had them out all summer and never got a bloom. But they grew hugh. I gave about 7 of my plants away because I had so many. My son got two and he overwintered them in his basement. So I can't wait to see if they bloom this summer.
I hope these are the same kind you were talking about, they are at the right of the picture. They do make a beautiful plant, and would be much better if they had bloomed for me. This is my rock garden with some of my hibiscus.

Hi 2pugdogs,
Yes that is the same one....I was talking to Kinnika who is on our forum and she said a gal in Florida told her to cut them back a bit and they can be kept inside and they should bloom thru the fall and winter inside.
Hope I got this straight...maybe Kinnika will jump in and clarify it a bit better for us.
BTW the Hibiscus looks great....everything looks great!
Thank you for sharing that photo.
Joanne
