Allegro Appalachian Trail

Silver Spring, MD

Thought you might like to see how this plant is doing. She is in a 6 inch pan pot and is now over 12 inch across. Not as many blooms as the semi mini trailers but a beautiful purple on purple fantasy.

Silver Spring, MD

Thanks, Kelly. I got this trailer last October on the trip to Violet Gallery. It was a freebee piece of a very long necked plant that the proprietor of the VG was giving away the day Jill and I went to PA. She just cut it off and gave a piece to Jill and a piece to me.

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Beautiful plant, and how cool that it came from a freebie! It must be a pretty fast grower.

Silver Spring, MD

I just realized that it was a year ago October. So the plant is about 1 1/2 years old.

Sorry to confuse you.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Nanna thought you and Jill just went to VG ;ast October ??? Did you go the year before also ?

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Very pretty!

Silver Spring, MD

It wasn't 2005. It was 2004. (unless I have totally gone the way of the old folks and am loosing my memory. Which could very well be the case.) Jill, Where are you? When did we go?

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Well Jill posted pictures of you two going in October 2005 just after I joined DG's. I was excited to see your plants as I had placed an order and was waiting on it :)) She showed pictures of VG and both of you there :)) I could find the thread and bump it for you :))

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Nanna hun here is your trip the end of October to Violet Gallery 2005 :))

Your plant grew fast ! I know I get amazed plants I got the end Oct begin of Nov, put down leaves and have shared so many good size babies with people already ! One Aca's Marie and Rob's Boondoogle,
Guelph's Christmas and so many more I bought first of Nov. 2005 and grew many babies to share with people. So much excitment. I got 14 plants from them then and grew babies from all of them ! Electric Cowby another one :))
I was told by the Owner when you buy plants the end of the year they are larger as they have had 6 extra months to grow, and Spring plants are small.

I bumped up the thread !

Silver Spring, MD

Holy Cow. That did grow fast. I got 4 trails at the same time. First Robin. She is doing very well, but I keep the sucker trimmed. To me she looks better as a single crown plant. I got Deer Path Trail. Doing very well. Milky Way Trail. Died big time! And AA Trail.

Great trip. We should go again, soon.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

You know I think Milky Way trail even grown by leaf is tempermental and hard to grow.
Yours plants are wonderful !

Scotts Valley, CA(Zone 9a)

That's odd. I was given 2 free leaves of Milky Way Trail last Fall. I just stuck them in water since I didn't know what else to do with them. They both rooted and are sending up babies. Hmm.

Nanna, I have an extra little plantlet of 'Milky Way Trail', and it's now reserved for you! :-) I'll have a 'Baby Jay' for you at some point also, but it's coming along very slowly!

Silver Spring, MD

Thanks, Jill. How does next week look for a trip to PA?
