Steak marinade recipe desperately needed

My Mom purchased some steaks, from a truck I think, and they don't have a very good taste. Can't remember what kind of steak they are. Anyway, this weekend we're revamping the kitchen so will need to do my cooking on the grill and I was going to use the steaks she has but really need something to add to the flavor...a lot! I'm doing BBQ ribs and chicken one day so didn't want anything like that.
