I thought a bird had used my rue as a rest stop. But the extension agent here says it's mealybugs, and having looked them up on google, he's right. I pruned off the really bad branch, and wiped the rest off. Anyone have any experience with these? Should I be more aggressive? Please tell me I don't need to destroy the plant, though I will, of course, if it's endangering other things. I have a LOT of herbs in pots on the patio, as well as roses. Haven't found the bugs on anything else. Thanks for any input!
