Potting Table

Since a lot of bending causes me to be nauseated and dizzy, I desperately want a potting table. Does any one have a picture of there wonderful table? I have seen many different ones but can’t decide exactly how I want mine. Were I will find room for the bench is another story. We have a 10x12 Tuff Shed that I wish I could use but hubby uses it as his workshop.

I got this one cheap at a KMart store closure and it even has martha's name on it. I like to have a personal reminder of this tower of a woman. I use it all the time. Tell your husband it works good to doing wood projects in the winter also. I think I paid 19.99 for this one on clearance. Please note Martha was heading into jail so the Mart wanted to clear out her stuff at the time.

I bought some sturdy wire shelving on wheels for my greenhouse and I use one piece as a potting table. I have a piece of thin plywood across the top, and I use a cheap black cement mixing tray from Home Depot for the soil. It works for me.

Here's my potting table. This was before we moved in, on the day we came to do the inspection. It's slightly more cluttered now. ;)

I would advise you to make sure you put yours in at a tall enough height. My potting table is pretty high but the benches in the greenhouse are way too low and I always get a back ache working in there.

I need dh to make a shelf that goes all the way underneath the outside potting table as well as shelves that sit on top so I have more room to put the empty pots as well as the ones potted up. Altho I'm so lucky to have a great greenhouse and outside potting table, whoever put them in in the first place didn't make efficient use of the space.

This is a picture of my potting bench.
My mother bought this a month ago for me for helping her out with my dad. We had seen it at a hardware store that was from last summer season. They wanted 1/2 price for it since it was last year's and was missing some shelves. I can have my son or me cut up some boards for shelves very easily.
I just love my potting bench as you can see. I am using it a lot already.

Ignore the yellow lawn. Sprayed it out in the past month. Will either plant more grass seed or just maybe make flower beds. Still can't decide on how or what to do with the front yard.

WoW! daisyruffles that is just the greatest potting bench! I love that it has a built in place for soil and wheels for easy moving. After seeing yours I may have hubby cut a hole in mine in the greenhouse to add a container that drops down in for soil. Fantastic!!! Thanks for showing the picture!

I just love the bowl for the dirt or even water. It holds much more than you think so it is real handy to have a pot in there and just fill it full of dirt and flowers. Plus I use it to soak plants in at times.
Yes, the wheels make it nice to move around in the yard, like to be in the sunshine instead of the shade.
Tell your husband to do that. You will like it a lot.
