"Leggy" plants?

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Hey guys.. another question from me... some of the NOID's I bought this week are very leggy.... the stems are really long like they were looking for light. Is there any way to make them look better? Do I just trim off the ones hat are too long and pot them to make babies? If so, anyone want some NOID leaves? LOL I'll have plenty!

Thanks!

I would take the plant out of the pot. and remove all as much soil as you can. Take the leaves that don't look right or not nice and green off. Re-pot in NEW Bleached clean pot with new soil-less light mix. Wick if you like wicking. Re-pot so crown is not too deep but neck can be covered. In our sticky is some great pictures on re-potting! Put only healthy green leaves down , not old ones. It's hard and long enough to grow a plant by leaf no sense at setting yourself up for discouragment using old leaves. I throw them out.

Thanks Allison. I was looking through the sticky for info on leggy plants but didn't see it, so I asked here. I'll repot them when they dry out a bit :)

Janis any plants bought at Lowe,s grocery Nurserys they ..need to be re-potted into new bleach pots with light soiless mixture. Optimara and some other plants re potted by machines and potted too low an in soil too theavy for our enviroments. The are grown under control enviroments.

Thanks Allison. I just watered the ones I got the other day, and the ones from Lowes are so soggy..... I will get my pots bleached tonight and try to repot them tomorrow :)

When you re-pot use light mix. What ever kind of mix you use add 50 percent perilite to it moisten with water and mix well.
