I went shopping too :)

Well, saw the post earlier about the Optimara's at Lowes, so I made that part of my shopping today. I wanted to go to Krogers to get more of the AV's BOGO free, and Lowe's is just further down in the plaza so.....
I got 3 mini's (NOID) at Lowe's for 50 cents a piece. If I had known they were gonna be that cheap, I would have gotten more, they were in a pan of green standing water on the clearance rack. They are soaking wet.

I got an Optimara, but it was 2.97, but very pretty, but I couldn't find a name on it anywhere. It was staning in water too, dripped all through the store!

Then at Krogers I got 4 more NOID's but they are so pretty. They need a bit of TLC, but I'll try :)

Pretty ! I can't believe they have them just sitting there in the water. You may have to take them out of the pots and put on layered paper towels to help them dry ! Also it's good to take most of their dirt off and re-pot them into new pots with soil-less light mix. Wick if you like wicking. Too wet is going to cause root and crown rot.
Take off any old, spent leaves that are not of perfect health.
Also very important isolate them away from other plants for a good 2-3 months.

I know Allison! I really want to go back and get some more of them. They were really sad looking. And for 50 cents each, its worth trying to save them right? I'm gonna take the receipt back so I can show them that is what I got charged for them today. I have to go shopping tomorrow anyway, taking my oldest to get clothes, he out grows everything so fast.

Allison, thanksagain.. I am gonna run out of places to put them. My window sill aren't wide enough, but I have plenty of little plascit shelves I use for starting seeds in the spring :)
