Hi,
Quick question,
I have a beautiful white mandevilla in a pot that I need to put in the ground. I am wondering if it is okay to plant it so it climbs up a coconut palm. I don't know if it is a symbiotic plant that won't hurt the palm. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Lisa
White Mandevilla Question
Hi Lisa,
I see no one answered your question. The only white madevilla I know of is Mandevilla Laxa from Chile, also called Chilian Jasmine. Its very hardy and tough. When I lived in CA it was evergreen and bloomed all year, here with the cold in Oregon, it loses its leaves and looks awful in winter but comes back each year. Very fragrant flowers, creamy white. If this is the one you have its tough as nails and will grow anywhere, doesn't like pots, but in the ground you can put it anywhere. For sure get it out of the pot, if its this one, and it has a big "wow" factor, very nice.

PS shouldn't hurt the palm at all and would look awesome growing up it.
