2. Variegated Solomon's Seal
3. Hepatica
4. Bloodroot
5. Japanese Painted Fern
CLOSED: Wanted: Begonia Grandis, Variegated Solomon's Seal, and ...
Kim, I *had* a Japanese Painted Fern. I will look under the pile of wood chips that used to be an elm stump tomorrow and see if I still do. If so, it's yours for another shade-suitable perennial/fern. My Begonia grandis didn't do too well last year, but if it comes back strong and you are still looking for it, I would be glad to send it as well.
Amy
Kim I have the varigated Solomon's seal. LMK what you have for trade.
Tina
Amy, At this time the only thing I can think of that I can divide is Chelone (Hot Lips) and Hosta 'Queen Josephine' Which are both shade plants. Would you be interested in either?
Tina, I will go look at your want list. I have 100's of plants so I don't know where to begin to tell you what I have to trade.
Tina, I looked and you don't have any wants. Please tell me what you're looking for or interest in?
Hey Kim, any color coneflower except the purple, blue hostas, baptista, non invasive honeysuckle ("cape" maybe), the large bleeding hearts, tri colored 4 o'clocks, anything that will go with the coneflowers.
How's that for a want list:)
Tina
The Chelone would be of great interest! I just checked, and the fern has actually started to come up through the wood chips. I can't dig it up until my husband leaves, because he likes it. For some reason, I just don't care for them. I'm sure it's just because I haven't found the right place for them yet... I got it for free last year, about quart size. He'll never know it survived. In fact I might should go put more wood chips on it... :) I can get it in the mail to you in the next few days.
LOL LOL! Amy..The Chelone is just now coming up. I will get a clump and send it Monday or Tuesday for the Fern.
Tina, I don't have ANY Purple Coneflowers. So if I dig any they will be Bravado, Magnus, or Indiaca. At this point they all look alike, because they haven't bloomed and are just coming up. Would this be OK?
Kim, I have the begonias, fern, and bloodroot for trade. I also have variegated Solomon Seal, but it looks like you will be getting that.
I would like for trade any plant that hummingbirds like, or shade plants or fragrant plants. I'm sure we can work something out.
Amy & Tina..please forgive me. It is much better for me to trade with one person. One person has all I'm looking for. So I wont have to send three boxes out. Maybe we can trade in the future. Thanks for responding anyway.
Carmen, I'm sending you a dmail now!
Kim, I forgot to tell you, but I, too, love Queen Josephine, and its in my garden right now! :-)
