Exotic hibiscus???

Oviedo, FL(Zone 9b)

Hi,
I don't know much about hibiscus but love how they look. I was just at Lowe's and they had some hibiscus for sale that were really cool looking. The plant tag just said "Exotic Hibiscus". They were orange spirals with red on the outside and instead of the soft feel of "regular" hibiscus, these flowers kind of felt like a silk plant. Flowers almost looked and felt fake.

Any idea if these "exotic" hibiscus are less hardy than the regular hibiscus?

Thanks,,
Kim

Moi,

I don't know, but here is a link to a site that has some interesting cultivars where you might find your new baby. I just palced an order with them for about ten of the 'liners'...the price is unbeatable....even if it does take a while for them to get big enough to bloom.
