Getting Bigger!

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

My Brugmansia in the ground is a month ahead of schedule and getting bigger everyday .. so far I haven't noticed an slug/snail damage or any other critters attacking (unlike the Canna which has leaf rollers already). That little one in the foreground is an Equador Pink I put in the ground last August, a spindly thing in hopes it would grow enough for cuttings of which it did. I was astonished to see it reappearing .. it really didn't have enough time to grow a deep, good root system.

I'm hoping they will be a month ahead when it comes to flowering!

Good for you. Wish mine were that big already.

They look great! I'm always amazed that everyone else's brugs seem to do so great in the full sun they appear to be in while mine seem to suffer in my Zone 8b full sun. Why do you think that is? I'm so jealous! LOL

BD they are in full shade by 3:00. Brugs are greedy guts when it comes to water and food. They can take full sun if you drown them in water twice a day.
