I have a couple of Brugs that need to be re-potted. Re-potting them last year in pots that are large BUT are narrow at the base is not a good thing for a plant when the wind can knock them over with just a whisper.
I am looking for pots that are square so that they don't tip over AND then when it is time to bring them indoors they won't leak all over the floor. I was hoping to use wooden barrels but they are only good to use outdoors. The size of the pots I am looking for are 16 inches high x 16 inches wide.
I live in Toronto. Would anyone know of a few places in the GTA that would carry something like I described above?
Thanks!
Pots for Brugs??
If you have any place like out Wall-Mart you can get nice big plastic pots with bottoms that remove, they are very resonably priced too
Thank you kareoke for your suggestion! :)
We have Wal-Mart here so I can check them out!
Cheers!
Too bad we are not closer I just gave a lot of them away to a DG member
This is my all time favorite for planting brugs in. It's the tub with handles and I placed a red X over top of the container that I'm talking about. You can buy them at Walmart. They are easily moved around and the price on them are not so bad. Please don't look at the mess in the picture!! LOL I'm still working on my containers.
A couple of things you can do -
Put a brick in a Zip Lock bag , squeese out air and seal . put in bottom of pot .
Do same thing with rocks or gravel .
The other is to put bottles of water in bottom of pot . When you get ready to move , you go thru the drain hole in side of pot and poke a hole in the bottles of water . It makes the pot lighter and easier to move - BUT IT LEAVES A BLANK SPACE FOR BUGS AND CRITTERS TO HIDE IN .
