On the website where I bought the liners at such great prices, they have instructions for their liners. Here is what they wrote...hope it doesn't violate their copyright to post it here, but since I am crediting them with the info it should be OK. The information is from

"Immediate Hibiscus Care Upon Arrival For Liner(s): The liner(s) will arrive individually sleeved and tagged. First, remove the liner(s) from the box and keep the plant sleeves around the soil until you are ready to plant the liner(s). The liner(s) should be potted no later than one day after arrival. Our Hibiscus plants are shipped on the dry side. While still in the plastic sleeve mist the soil and leaves of the liner with water. This procedure helps the plant gain back some of the water it lost during the shipping process. Do not put your plant in direct sunlight for two weeks because your Hibiscus needs to acclimate to a new growing environment. The liner(s) should be potted in a container no larger than 6 inches and a 6-inch azalea type pot will be perfect. First, remove the plastic sleeve, and fill ¼ of the container with your potting soil. I have had good luck with Scotts Potting Soil or MiracleGro Potting Soil; both soils will provide the drainage that is perfect for growing your Hibiscus. Next, place the liner in the container, and while holding the liner in an upright position, fill the container with soil. Water the soil. Hibiscus are heavy feeders. A Hibiscus fertilizer should have a low phosphorous [P], which is the middle number and a higher analysis of potassium [K], which is the last number. The recommended fertilizers for the Hibiscus are 10-4-12, 9-3-12, or 12-4-18. Osmocote 17-6-10 + minors or Osmocote 18-6-12 is also recommended for Hibiscus and is a time-release fertilizer. Follow the application and frequency rates recommended by the fertilizer company."
