New on the pet forum. I am usually in the garden ones. But today, my eight year old Black Lab was diagnosed with Diabetes, Type 2. I know my dogs well, and when Bruin started acting sick, took him to our vet. His blood glucose level was extremely high. He is in the hospital overnight, but the Dr is very optimistic about his long term survival. He will need insulin shots twice daily, and a lot of monitoring. Anyone else on here taking care of a diabetic pet? Looked at the last few pages of postings and found nothing about it. I have found some good information on the internet. Hypoglycemia really scares me. Anyone here with experience in this disease?
