Hi...new here from NJ

Hello everyone.......I just wanted to stop here to introduce myself. My name is Patty and I am new here to this forum and pretty new at gardening. I was browsing around yesterday and it looks like we have a lot of talented and experienced gardeners here. I hope to get a lot of excellent ideas from all of you!!

Hope43 - I'm not sure what I like to grow yet as I am pretty new to this gardening thing. I'm not even sure if my zone is 7a.......lol. It's somewhere around that number though so I figure if I pick flowers that grow anywhere between zones 5 -8, I should be alright. I'll probably be looking for flowers that are pretty low maintenance as I'm not really fond of gardening in the summer's blasting heat....lol. I like to plant them and then just sit back and enjoy their beauty.....lol. If you have any suggestions, I would surely appreciate it.

Herbie - Wappingers Falls? Is that really far upstate NY? Like by Niagara Falls? My Grandparents use to live in Orange County, NY but that is not too far up the Hudson.

actyually its about 3 hours from my house to atlantic city. i live in what is known as the mid hudson valley. i'm close to poughkeepsie n.y.
