This is a very pretty smaller curcuma, blooming before the foliage appears.

the bloom looks about quarter size.. that's a sweet little one. Please post a picture of the foliage when that comes up.

I will do that ma'am, the blooms are all gone now so hopefully foliage isn't far behind. lol
It is tiny but I think it is just beautiful.

Liz, where did you get this Curcuma? I bought some unidentified curcuma rhizomes in Bangkok at the market and looks identical. I think it might be Curcuma oligantha. Tania Rehse is a botanist who was trying to sort out the many, many problems with Curcuma taxonomy and she said it may be the same species as Curcuma pierreana.
