I've been watching the weather and wondering what weather reports ya'll are getting in College Station. I've heard predictions of thunder storms this weekend. Is that what you're hearing there? Is there a covered area for us there, in case of bad weather?
RU weather?
Judging by the picture on the park's website, http://www.cstx.gov/home/index.asp?page=661 our pavilion is covered, but not enclosable.
We have some tarps. I'll talk to DH and see about bringing those. They'll have to be hung somehow though, and I don't know if there's anything to hang them from.
Yeah, I was looking at weather.com's forecast for College Station, says 60% chance of scattered thundershowers. Thankfully we will be covered, and I'm praying that our location will get zero percent of the 60% showers. Either way, it will be fun. If you have to be stuck with a rainy day, who better to be stuck with?
:-)
Yes, the local station here is saying 50% chance of storms Sat, mainly in the morning though (continued from Fri night I think). So hopefully it'll clear out later in the day. Of course, how many times have I seen these rain chances and then no rain? Way too many....lol. The gully washer from last week has us pretty well hydrated right now, so I don't feel too bad wishing it didn't rain. Usually I feel guilty about it.

The first regional plant swap I ever went to, it turned into a huge torrent. We had a good time, not one complaint from anyone, even though many of the vehicles had to be towed out of the mud in the field/parking area with a tractor or something. I figure my ancestors weren't afraid of a little rain (probably welcomed it, since most were farmers), so why should I be? Now, floods are a different story, but that's highly unlikely.
As long as its not raining cats and dogs down here early that morning....I'll make the drive.
Ask Ted how cold it was @ the first Texoma RU! You can tell by the pix that it was miserable. Even if it rains, it can't be nearly as bad.
I'll bring a tarp & I know others are also. We can wrap that pavillion up so that everyone that passes will want to know what is going on behind the blue door, I mean walls!
;~)
