We live on Long Island, NY and I was able to keep my Hibiscus alive through the winter, in a pot, in the house and in a sunny spot. In the spring I got a lot of new growth, but as it was sort of shapeless I pruned back. This summer the tree is out of doors, I got two flowers. How can I get this to bloom, The tree is a beauty and the flower is an apricot with a double ruffle.

Mzmunchken Thanks for the tip. Can you recommend a bloom booster. I got everything else right. When do you think is a good time to shape an hibiscus? Fall? Spring? Good to know others are interested.

Doggone it, I read your post and thought that was it,you'll pass, know ya will'''I've read and read more here at DG than anything in my whole life and can't get enough knowledge'

Sometimes though, feel like I'm out of place' Almost everyone, has big places and terraces and sooo much they can do and I just have a patch of drybone, dusty, old prairie here''
