Ann's INSANE Find at HD

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

OMG! Check out what I stumbled upon at HD when I ventured out with the roomie to find him a drill-bit (clearly I wandered in the wrong direction...)

I must add, this little piggy found this while waiting for her order from the Pimpette - it clearly is a good week for me!!!!!

This first picture is an H. multiflora

Thanks Awanda! I am feeling might proud of myself right now!
Meanwhile, my big concern is whether to repot these guys (since they are EA's & I don't want to kill them!)
Ann

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

I don't see any blooms on the curtsii, but there is a lot of new growth.

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

Ms. K I just received an EA curtsii yesterday and I re-potted mine, it was like removing mud from the roots. I would say dry it out on newspaper for a couple of days and then re-pot it into your regular potting soil.

Awanda

Wow Wow Wow. You dun good girl. They are both very pretty hoya's....

Wow MsK, great find, and the multiflora being in bloom is just amazing! Congrats.

Thanks everyone!
Here is a question for y'all: Awanda and others typically suggest removing the plants from the EA potting soil and replanting them in regular. I intend on doing this with the curtsii right away, but should I repot the multiflora? It seems they are water hounds and I am, erm, light on the watering sometimes. Would it be better to keep the multiflora in the EA soil since it does seem to like having "wet feet'? Tell me what you think.

I am going to have a long chat with my HD & Lowe's, they never get Hoyas in like that. Great finds! They both look so nice.

There is one more of each at the HD. They were $15.00 each, so if anyone is interested (and they are still there), I would be happy to send them to for price + shipping.
Feel free to download the photos, Betsy!!

Ms. K just my 2 cents worth, but I would re-pot the multiflora too, especially since your weather is much cooler year round, it may rot before it dries out.

Awanda
