One of the prettiest crocus

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

Ok, for the rest of you, crocus are just a distant memory. They are pretty much peaking in my area...better late than never. I had to share this new crocus I got last year. Its Crocus sieberi 'Hubert Edelsten'. Very hard to find but well worth a search.

Truly beautiful, Todd.
I need more crocus in my garden. Do you have a source you can mention?

Yes, Todd, tell us where we can get it! It's a beauty!

Absolutely stunning!

I'm enjoying my crocuses right now too - Spring has been a long time coming here..

I got the bulbs from a keen local crocus grower, but he got the bulbs from Ruksans, a bulb specialist in Latvia, Europe. Their bulbs are sold through Gardens North and Wrightman's Alipnes. These latter two nurseries have on-line catalogues.

Thanks!

Yum, Todd. My fav this year was sieberi tricolor.

I have tricolor and Violet Queen....all the sieberi are among the most lovely of orchids. here's Violet Queen....similar to tricolor but lacks the whitish ring.

Quite a magnificent plant. I love it and it is on my "must have" list but reckon it would take some tracking down!

In the UK, you can order directly from Ruksans. Those particular crocus are not too expensive and with the BP, would be even less (their prices are in Euros)

Very pretty! I think I will have to be buying more bulbs this fall. Tamara
