Wow, thanks for the armchair travel, I can almost feel the warmth and smell the blooms! I had no idea plummies got that huge!
I think Lot #30 or was it 31 is nice for the view but I prefer that lush green jungle. Some nice home gardens there, such intnse bloom colors. My favorite shot was #151 for the pop in colors and I would have been in heaven at the flower market!
Thanks for sharing.

Yes.. Sue... every home had a stand in front of it ..selling plants... that market was a sunday thing in El Vally... you wouldn't believe it ... the long tall hanging gingers with the big dangleing flowers... standing 7' tall... and rooted at the bottom... how much... oh $2.50... well that's wonderful... ok then... make it $1.50... [ exchange with a ginger grower...
yes... you'd have gone wild... Gordon
Is everyone there into gardening, Gordon? Or are these set up for the tourists to buy? I wonder if all countries are as difficult to get outside plants into as ours.
I want to go and bring them all home with me.
Yes,,Kell the flowers everywhere... and in the market for sale... they wern't for the tourists... expats perhaps... and those that were living there ... it's a way of life to grow things... and break a bit off and sell it so cheeply...
the worst for me... in the market.. everything I asked about... like from the ginger man... although I could never buy it and bring it back.. was immediately discounted... it really hurt to not get everyone... the worst for me... this blooming clerodendrum quadlacollour.. [ spelling is real off on that one ] a lovrly plant with flowers about to bloom... $3.50.. I've a big one decades old... and still yet to bloom.. ghreen on the top of the leaf.. and a deep maroon on the underside... pictured below... lots of building going on there... guess that helps along with the locals love and facility in growing... guess that drives the market...
