Zindorf I dont have paypal but you can send stamps, check or money order. However is easier for you(sorry about the paypal thing) As soon as postage is recieved I will let you know and mail the hosta out the next day. I just wont mail out on Thursdays or Fridays so I dont have to worry about it getting stuck in the post office over the weekend. I always let everyone know the day I mail out their package so they can expect it.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Any chance you put one of those in my box? LOL

Monroe, NC(Zone 7b)

Hi Janet: Ok. I'll send you some hardy begonia and also a bit of artemesia. The artemesia will be small. I actually tried to kill it all because it was becoming a bully. But I did not succeed. I'll find you a few straglers. Don't worry though...it will soon take over your whole garden. I think the variety might be silver queen.

Thanks for the trade.

Be glad to send postage. How much is it? Sorry, I'm new at this.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

You know me baby. I'm sure I'll be thrilled. :) I guess I better start you a box or ten soon. LOL

Zindorf- a flat rate box is 8.10, that way no matter how heavy it is or how much I put in the box its the same price.

Thanks alot! I'll put it in the mail to you today.

OK guys, the hosta are dug and washed off. Now, I have to wrap them in newspaper and box them up. WHEW, the clump was so big I had to knock off a bunch of dirt before I could even pick it up to try and seperate. Ill post here again when I get them out in the mail.

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

Ok Im breathing now, this hosta had grown taller already than I expected. I tried to put them in the longer boxes but they were too narrow to accomidate the roots on alot of these and the only way I would have been able to get them in would have been to cram the bejeezers out of them. These are crammed into the flat rate boxes, I held my breath with every box I was closing but I didnt hear one thing snap and Im confident that the worst you will recieve is some squshed looking leaves that will unfold and look beautiful after they get out of those boxes.
Everyone please let me know when you get your boxes and what kind of shape they were in no matter how bad. If you feel you need to discuss anything with me please Dmail me.

Hi Draven: The beast arrived today! What a huge chunk of hosta!! It arrived in perfect shape and looking beautiful. It was so big that I acutally cut it into more pieces and planted a nice little section of my shade garden that was just waiting for some nice hostas. It is going to be lovely! Thanks so much for your kindness and generosity.

ROFLMBO The Beast! Glad they got there and in good shape. Thanks again for taking some.
I planted three newly arrived daylilys in the spot that I had that clump of hosta in, cant beat that with a stick thats for sure.

Janet, your box arrived yesterday ! I give you a rating of two dirty gardener's thumbs-up!! :-)

Thanks so much for taking the time to do the hard work of digging, splitting, wrapping, then mailing everything out. You're a very generous DGer!!

The hostas will recover just fine. Those leaves were long and just-as-you-said, they had to be coerced into that flat rate box. No matter though because a good transplant, some decent soil, a good soaking with SuperThrive, and some nice warm days will put these hostas into full swing again.

Good news for you -- my mom is giving me some more of the H. Twist of Lime, so I'll get this one out to you!

WOOHOO!
