I was told it's too late to spray now. They told me to spray 3 times during the winter - around Thanksgiving, around Christmas, and around Valentine's Day. We missed the Thanksgiving one but did the Christmas and V-Day sprays and about half the trees in the orchard are much improved. We moved into a place with a very neglected orchard and has a dismal showing last year. We're hoping to save some by spraying and pruning, but I know some will have to eventually go.

You should call your local nursery for advice. Maybe there's something else you can use later in the season.

Hi Bluelites, Over here we depend on sprays as orchards are the main crops. I know they spray twice in the spring and once after set but I'm not in the know of what they spray as I don't really get involved in our orchards other than to get my fruit. We have 5 acers of pears, and 1 necturenne, 2 peach and 2 cherry. I do know that Sevon is widly used over here. I use it for everything. Try calling your county extension office, they should be ably to help ya. Good luck.
