Here's a photo of a bud - that's the closest I found. I find yellow daisy flowers odd in the shade garden and so cut them off. This was taken July 1.

if that was last year, then it should start budding next month ?
i think i will put mine out in the sunny part of the shade garden
so the yellow flowers aren't so overpowering

thanks

Britt Marie resents sun and the leaves will curl on hot day. If that happens just move it into the shade and it will freshen up. The one that I have that is the largest is in morning sun and during hot days it curls but it always comes back.. If it's in a pot then you really can move it anytime. Very smart.

i have 5 acre's to play in amongst the Redwoods :-)
(2) 2 1/2 acre lots next to each other
i have started a cpl of meandering paths thru the forest
the lower one i am planting as i go along
several JM's lots of Heuchera, different oxalis, ferns and Trilliums and mucho misc. :-)
i place the plants in pots where i think i would like them
as i walk the path i try to envision how it will look in the future all grown ?
and how well do they look and work with each other
i have only been doing this for one year
here are a cpl of images of part of one path
it is difficult to photograph in the dappled light :-(
notice i have Marie Britt-Crawford in a pot along the path in the 2nd image taken this morning

Your gardens are stunning and I have a lot of questions about what you are growing under the redwoods. The shade under mine is so dense that I'm stumped but you've done a masterful job.
Can I take this to DGmail?
