Three inches of rain and counting...

Rhinebeck, NY(Zone 5b)

here in the mid-Hudson Valley from the weekend rain that continues today. What about some of the other rain amounts here in the Northeast?

(Thank goodness for the rain...unless you are now flooded!!)

Hi Daisy- got 2.88 inches yesterday, plus .62 inch on Saturday. Now its coming down hard again. Lots of rain. The lawn is loving it. Growing right through the rain. I'm sure the trees are loving it too. No floods here, knock on wood.

Hey Daisy,
Its been wet all weekend here, I'm not sure how much we got but I can tell you it sure came down in buckets last night making it scary to drive...
my back yard feels spungy to walk on and the worms are headed for higher ground, with the Robbins hot on their tails!
I understand its not over yet, maybe some thunderstorms rolling by today!

Is it true that plants thrive from lightning, I heard it somewhere...

You guys got the worst of it. We got just over an inch last night.
GREN is right, the robins are having a feed.

Yippee! : )

My basement got 5" of water - first time in 20 years that it has flooded according to my neighbor. I don't know what the official count was for Bridgeport - but it was too much. I have got to get rainbarrels! Anyone got an idea where I can get cheap, used barrells that were used for food or oil? Plastic is fine although old oak barrels would be rustic . . .

Yankee, Sorry to hear about your trouble. We were spared but I hate when that happens.
