Looking to Purchase/trade for Lg amt of Water Hyacinth

Buffalo, WV(Zone 7a)

Any of you ponders way down south getting overrun with water Hyacinth yet? I need it badly. Willing to trade, pay postage or purchase large amount, like 50 plants or more. My pond is pea-soupy and getting too warm for the Koi so need the shade from the Hyacinth. You can look in my journal under plants available for trade.
Thanks,

I know that Springdales Water Gardens sells it, and I beleive is in your area. I think it's $30 for 3 plants.

No way would I pay $10. a plant for something ponders down south are going to compost. That's what trading is for :~) I would purchase for a much more reasonable price if I had to. There's some on the way from a ponder in Louisiana.
Never heard of Springdales, where in WV is that?
Thanks!

Shenandoah Valley, VA

WVdaisy, Springdale Water Gardens is in Virginia, not West Virginia, a bit south of Staunton. They have a note on their website saying they can't ship water hyacinths outside of Virginia.

I know the water garden shops here in the valley do carry water hyacinths but none of them get the plants in until early May because of the possibility of frost kills. They're usually about $4-5 per plant. We seldom buy more than five or six because they spread so quickly.

Thanks, Hart. I only need so many for the shade. My pond has a large surface area and is not but 30" at the deepest point. I'll be using them for trade or composting them by mid-summer I'm sure :~)

Ok I had to bounce around a little to find it again.
What I did went to Google typed in pondplants.com and included the phone number clicked on bog plants then the next screen clicked on floating plants.
They have the miniture water hyacinths for $.99 , and the
Eichornia Crassipes ( the larger ones) for $2.99. They also have water lettuce &2.49.
Sorry about not knowing how to get the hyperlinc to work right. And dumb me I should have looked back in another forum someone posted it for someone else I was trying to help but this should get the results. Hope this helps
