Red Admirals

Last weekend I had lots of red admirals in my lantana. Here's a few pics:

Those such beautiful butterflies! I get them down in south Texas too...but they prefer the butterfly bait I put out for them. They really enjoy that fermented banana and brown sugar mixture...or could it be the Guiness Stout beer I blend it with? :o)

They are very cooperative by spreading their wings and letting everyone take plenty of photographs.
