Growing Episcia on a Trellis By Dale Martens ~
I need to do this for sure now ~
Back when Dale did this I asked her if I copied cat her and she said no of course not. Everyone should grow an Episcia on a Trellis ! I hate to say this was 1-2 years ago and I never have. Not I am going to make a point to do so !

I am trying to send this from my favorites. Dale said she wanted everyone to use it ~ It is address to all Episcia.
~ Hello Episcia lovers, Please check out how I grew Episcia 'Silver
Skies' on a small vine trellis. It's on Ron Myhr's web site at:
http://www.gesneriads.ca/episci10.htm

One year before an AGGS convention I decided to experiment
with growing an episcia plant on a trellis for showing at the next
convention.

The trellis is about 14 inches tall. One needs to grow plants on
both sides of the trellis because otherwise the plant will be too
heavy and will topple. I started with 3 mature plants with no
stolons on either side of the trellis. I didn't allow any stolons or
flowers on those 6 base plants for 3 months while they grew
large and healthy. Then I allowed each to have 2 stolons which I
tied to the trellis. So then I had 6 base plants and 12 stolons. I
didn't allow any flowers or any more stolons for over two more
months. This caused those 12 stolons to grow large and
healthy. I misted the plant with distilled water twice a day (if I
remembered to do it!).

Eventually I allowed more stolons from the top area to grow and I
tied them to the trellis. The entire plant was not allowed to
bloom. I removed every bud that formed.

Eight weeks before the AGGS convention, I then allowed the
plant to begin to bloom. I did not give the plant "high bloom"
fertilizer. I just used my normal fertilizer routine which means I
alternate a variety of fertilizers and use them at the rate of 1/4
teaspoon per gallon of water.

One can also think about growing episcias in a topiary shape as
with a teddy bear.

It gives step by step though Laurie. I've seen some show pictures of your friend Gary's Epsicas WOW :))
Ok now I wonder where would I find my trellis ?

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

That's just gorgeous, but I don't know if I could make myself pinch off flower buds! Poked around some and didn't see what kind of trellis she used.
