Here are the new two best buds. Since Festus died these two have really bonded. Apollo, ancient as he is, is Henry's guardian. I usually let her free-range for several hrs each afternoon. We don't have hawks anymore[sadly] so I am *fairly* confident she is safe. Most of the time I am also outside gardening and keeping a check on her. I think Henry believes she is a dog. She eats from his bowl and comes running when I bring scraps for Apollo. He used to be very selfish when it came to his food or food bowl and would fight over it. Now he patiently puts up with her mooching- guess it's his old age.
It breaks my heart to see Apollo going downhill and I know I won't have him for too much longer. God willing he will be 14 if he lives to July 14. I will treasure this pic!!
