kelly
LOL Kelly you are too cute! I am glad you like the pink...it is a big fan of mine also :") In succulents, AVs and episcia especially :) Seems we have a lot in common
we sure do!!! i found some sort of succulent with pink stripes down the leaves this week at wal-mart and didn't buy it! i am so kicking myself as a friend went to see if it was there last night and it was gone.

Beautiful Lorry ! Is this the same Aussie Alice I sent you ? Or did you get another :))
I bought my Alice 2 years ago tiny solo cup and having been growing and sharing over 50 plants from the same plant ! She is wonderful !
Nope ..this is a different one...I got this one from my wholesaler. The one you sent me :) I am keeping! The ones rom friends are ALWAYS more valuable :)
Yes always for me too :))
Am I lucky or what??? I just got the most beautiful aussie's alice from Allison this afternoon and it is already flowering.
Yippee ! Happy you like her. She's just a baby but she grows fast and shows no bounderies :))
Aussie Alice is beautiful. I really do want one because it is so beautiful, I love the pink leaves, and my DH is from AU. I think that it will be so neat to get one and give it to him as a little love present. He would really love that.
Jesse
Jesse, you can always do a search to find a place that sells it.

Allison..they're doing well...if i ever get time to "care" for them..i'll probably ruin them..he he....had a big rain finally here last couple of hours..
Oh Bob I have no time to care for mine either. lol They just smile and do their own thing. Self care :)) Your foliage looks so soft and colorful they are so Happy and Healthy better not do anything different :))
I have an Alsobia Cygent with about 50 babies on it lol I need to pot no time lol Poor mommy. I think I better start doing a few a day.

kelly
Kelly they are the easiest plant to grow no care needed hardly like Bob said ! Mine sit on a stand with natural light and they get dry I pour cups of food water in their pots their Happy. Mine do bloom a lot. and grow many babies :))
he he...these pics are making me look too good..i honestly don't do much to them..
sounds like i should of started with these lol.
I give them to Nurses, CNA, my Hospice Social Worker has grown a Teddy Bear one from little pot to 6 inch pot his plant is so large and blooms all the time. Many at the Hospice office got them. Neighbor's and friend 's I want to give them a plant easy to grow so they won't fail I give them an Episcia !
Couple years ago I gave an older neighbor one in a small pot/cup. And I gave her some trailers I know they are easy too ! Two weeks later she came to the door but I did not hear her. At the door she left her plants in a basket. When I called her I was what's wrong don't you like the plants ? She was confuced she did not know what to do !
In two weeks they had grown so much she did not know what to do ! The small little Episcia had three big
Episcia babies. ( I was tempted to take them off lol )
When she could she came over. I showed her how to pot up each new Episcia baby in it's own pot. Now she had four ! I told her she could share with a friendif she wanted she said no way. She was keeping them all. The plant had been sitting on a coffee table in the middle of the living room. The trailers I explained again should trail and oh were they ever. She did not even know what the flowers were should she take them off were they babies ...?? The trailer's were all in bloom trailing away and an older lady well around 80 still
young . never grew an Episcia or African violet plant
she amazed me.
Few months later her husband died. I rode over in my wheel chair a couple streets away to say sorry. She brought her plants out to show me Her Tri-Color Episcia from the little 2 inch pot to four plants still all four in their own pots( Larger pots) but in a hanging bird house ( one of those fancy white ones with sides open) was so large and stunning, soft healthy foliage babies every where , flowers. I was amazed. I asked her what she was feeding them. She said nothing. Her trailers were just as Spectacular :))
allison you are such a giving person and i know you have touched many lives! this is why i love daves garden so very much! such wonderful people!
kelly
Oh my stars!!! They are so pretty! Thank you all for sharing them!
Joanne
Some people grow them on a Trellis , I think it was Dale Martens grew a stunning one like this. I had her pattern she did not mine me using though I never got to I do remember she started out with around 6 mature plants about the same size three on each side !
Their great in hanging baskets and also grown as ground cover.
So kelly there is unlimited fun !
Allison you're correct...remember when Lorry Chris and I saw the episicias growing in the ground at Fairchild Gardens in MIami...have seen them in baskets as well.
Yes ! They are really something ! Lot's are Vintage too !
Yes..and Harmony growers grows their episcia under the Av stands..they are GORGEOUS :)
I will be showing later with pictures ( Don't miss this April ) how easy it is to grew, progate and share Episcia ! I have no room on stands so all mine are grown in natural light.
You Floridians sure know how to grow Episcias!
They don't like me, and therefore I've "washed my hands of them"!
Nice to enjoy your lovely photos, though;)
