I saw a posting on ebay of Hoya Sulawesii. They are stating it is rare. Is it rare ,and is the picture the actual Hoya Sulawesii? PLMK
Thanks,
Patti

The link didn't work for me, but I checked on ebay for the "rare" Sulawesii and it looks to me to be an EA plant that often comes described as Hoya Sulawesii/Hoya Bella by EA. They are far from rare at our Home Depot and they are actually H. brevialata or incurvula (probably brevialata). The inset flower picture they have doesn't look like the brevialata flowers I get on my plant, but the leaves of the plant look like a brevialata to me.
If you google Hoya Sulawesii you will see only references to EA plants...
Hope this helps...

Oh Patti! Hi there....

Here's what I think. It's an exotic angel plant labeled Hoya Sulawesii, and in small print on the tag it also says Hoya Bella. It is neither.

This is the same plant I found a few weekeds ago at the South Shore Home Depot for $8.99. I looked for another so I could get you one, but it was the only one.

DH was going to the I-45 Home Depot and I asked him to look for the same plant for you there and he didn't see one.

You came back from that HD with the lovely basket of H. lacunosa.

The H. Sulawesii is either H. brevialata or H. incurvula, probably.

Stay tuned for another series of As The Hoya Turns!
