I use either yard or Mason string ( I think's it's called ) best. The Mason's thread my hubby gets me it at lowes and HD. Last couple times he got me hot pink ! I love it :))

i need to know what i need to have to grow them really good. all the right pots and everything else you think i need,could you make me a list. i know i,m asking a lot but want to do it right,what is mason thread. is that the same as what they call a wick,i no i,m dumb (lol ).
i have mine sitting in front of my liveing room window
with the light shineing thru panel curtains,bur a few leaves seem to have burned. now i have droped my shades so that helps some.do i need some type of light far them.runnimg out of room to put them have 28 so far.but love them

I have to close blinds in the heat of the day also.
You may want to think of getting a plant stand with light fixtures. Hubby got me a real nice one at HD, double 4 ft light fixtures were about $8.00 each and you can use gro-lights give you more for your money or I also like cool white.
I like using Eleanor's VF-11 fertilizer or Optimara.
Vf-11 I fount is good deal from Charley's Greenhouse and delievery Fed-Ex is only $8.95 and you can even buy more things like labels and stuff and shipping is the same.
I use clear plastic boxes for putting my leaf pots. I use the lids for trays for my plants. Have had the same ones for years, I bleach them to death and other than the couple I ran over with my wheel chair their still strong and sturdy and cheap ! I also grow as many plants in natural light as I can find room !
Masonary String , your husband will know it will work best for wicking than anything. You can buy it at Lowes or HD.This is what I like to use best for wicking. He has bought me yellow and pink ! But yarn is fine too.
He also mixes my soil-less mix for me. I use a lot. It's kept in a large rubbermaid like container. I never re-use soil, I always use new cleaned bleach pots when re-potting too.
I buy pots by the hundreds starting at 2 inch, 2.25, 2.50, 3", 4" 5" plus pan pots..
I also have 2 oz. dixie cups, and sometimes when hubby can find them 3 oz. and 5 oz. To be honest I have used hundreds of each for setting leaves they all work great and the same. I see no difference in size in getting nice big fast healthy babies.
I don't have a lot of Supplies. Scissors. I use a sharp point of a pencil or siccors to take suckers off.
I don't have the extra $$ to spend so this is all I use and have. I need the $$ to buy leaves :))
Not that I need leaves lol everyone sends me leaves and I put leaves down from each and every plant I have somehow I still have 300 leaves down and too many babies needing a home.
My favorite is growing plants by leaf. Right up to their first bloom ! Each ones excites me more than the other. And one leaf can give me several babies so I can share :))
I keep things simple. We live in Florida with great humidity they like ! When it comes to supplies you can go simple or as fancy as you want. I feel my specialty is growing by leaf :)) I have been able to share thousands of babies !
I have more babies and leaves for you too !

yes since i met her here she has lifted my spirits so high,im not to good either yet ,trials and error, more error than anything else.
homosassa is on the gulf coast, im in citrus county.
im about 6 miles from the gulf.maybe 60 miles from orlando,where did you live
